The former England Rugby League captain is considered to be one of the best players of his generation and has just recently been recognised for this by being awarded an MBE. He holds the world record for the most Grand Final wins, with a total of eight: five with his current club Leeds Rhinos and three with his former club, the Bradford Bulls. He has also won numerous other team and individual awards both domestically and internationally, having twice won the award for ‘The International Forward of the Year’.

His ability to lead and inspire other players has underpinned his success. ‘No White Flag’ is his keynote/motivational talk about how using skills in the areas of leadership, goal setting, self belief, attitude and honesty has enabled him to overcome a lack of natural ‘sporting’ talent and become one of England’s best leaders and captains.

Jamie Peacock and SPEC

At SPEC, we recognise that it’s our people who continue to drive our business forward. We want to offer everyone who works at SPEC the opportunity not just to develop their specialist skills and industry knowledge, but also to harness their full potential in areas of self believe, attitude and motivation.

Having heard Jamie speak, the directors at SPEC saw where his values and beliefs fitted with that of SPEC’s. Not only that, but the delivery of the message and experience behind it was inspirational and thought-provoking, leading them to invite Jamie to come on board as an ambassador.

Jamie will deliver keynote speeches and offer one-to-one discussions with the SPEC employees, sharing his experience on leadership and teamwork and offering advise on how to harness the power within.

Jamie said: “I work with businesses where I recognise a clear overlap in values of theirs and mine. SPEC have a drive to succeed, a willing to invest in their people and to go the extra mile. That is a recipe recognisable with all the successful teams I have played. They clearly have the culture of a successful, established business and I am looking forward to working with them.”

He added: “Even the very best can find that extra something within: that extra bit of self belief, that extra bit of motivation. My role is simple – inspire people to unlock that extra bit that we all have.

“There is very little traffic on The Extra Mile. I offer people the chance to discover that extra mile within, develop and grow. SPEC is a company that goes that extra mile, so I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with them and their team.”
